A beach bar menu that works at the counter

The situation

Marcianus Bar sits a few steps from the water in Foz do Arelho. Its menu is long — food, cocktails, a whole page of gin — and it changes. Printed cards go soft in the salt air and reprinting for one new drink is money nobody wants to spend.

What we built

A digital menu in Portuguese and English, with a language toggle in the header. Food, cocktails and gin are separate tabs rather than one endless scroll, and each item carries its price and allergen markers. The whole thing is a single static page — no app, no login, nothing to install.

What it does

A QR on the table opens the menu on the guest’s own phone. Prices change in one file and are live immediately, so a new cocktail costs nothing to add. The English version means a visitor who speaks no Portuguese can order without asking for help.
